The Deck’s 56 characters have elaborate patterned garb – divine and powerful, thoughtful, always contemplative, always free. Most have a white background, the expression and content being the space and energy created inside them. Propelled to dance, move, BE healthy and alive. They did not just survive they thrived. I’ve included a title and interpretation of each character’s “theme” and the situation they teach about.
Each card is carrying ideas about the compass we bear inside ourselves. We can develop a sensitivity to what direction we face and what faces us, and see life is teaching us about responsibility, or “the ability to respond" compassion and community.

Julie Pepper is an American born Artist . Julie's artistic mediums are predominantly ground pigment, golds and silver, ink and water. Portraiture is done in egg tempera. Paintings and sculpture are done on recycled - repurposed doors, windows, wood and frames when ever there is an opportunity .Themes range from botanical & mystical to the political.
The first shows my work exhibited in were for Amnesty International at The Abe and Helen Bolsky Gallery at Otis Parsons School of Design In Los Angeles in 1990 and at San Francisco Art Institutes Diego Rivera Gallery as a student in 1993.

Feminine Mythology and the Fountain of Trabazon Oracle Deck with Julie Pepper
This is a super-special workshop with visiting artist Julie Pepper!
Join us for a workshop on the feminine principal and it's many expressions. Julie Pepper will take us on a journey with a guided meditation, and teach us about the many expressions of the sacred feminine through symbolism and mythology. Julie will use the oracle deck she designed, the Fountain of Trabazon, as a vehicle for these teachings and teach you about using the oracle deck yourself. Decks will be available for purchase at the end of class, if you'd like to go home with your own deck.
Julie Pepper is an artist, farmer, and yoga therapist. Julie believes in the mythology of gratitude and good things to come. The Fountain of Trabazon oracle deck is self-published and composed entirely of her original paintings. Her paintings were inspired by global feminine mythology and tell a story of the archetypes of women.
